May be best to stay away from certain sellers

Just a heads up.

I’m sure you have all seen that Slickguns has a “seller” on their site, who is offering credit card purchases on some items, without a fee.

Why is this a bad thing? The company that’s handling those purchases (allegedly), is Stripe, Inc. You might have heard of them. They have a rather long and sordid history of “black listing” gun manufacturers and gun dealers. They have a “no guns” policy, and a number of gun manufacturers and dealers have been banned by Stripe, Inc. If you sell your products through Slickguns, and use Stripe, Inc., and Slickguns is banned, you’re screwed.

You see, Slickguns violates Stripe’s policy by allowing such purchases, and Stripe, Inc. will probably ban them soon. If you ever placed a credit card purchase through this particular seller, your name is probably now known to Stripe, Inc. Stripe, Inc. tends to keep a black list of buyers, whom they consider to be “risky”. If you purchase guns, you are considered high risk, and this may cause you problems if you need to use your credit card to buy anything in the future, and the company you are purchasing from uses a company that uses Stripe, Inc. Think Microsft, Amazon, Google, and other similar companies.

It would be best to avoid any sellers that are using Stripe, Inc.

Also, be aware that there are other credit card processors, who also have no “guns” policies. If you purchase from a seller who uses one of these credit card processors, you will be treated the same way you would be if you purchased an item that was being sold by a seller who uses Stripe, Inc.. Avoid these sellers, if you value your right to purchase guns, or purchases guns for your business.

Just saying.
