I am a sane person who went to a QAnon conference, I was not prepared for what I witnessed (Throwaway account)<br><br>Hi people. I am no stranger to weirdo territory. I have had the pleasure of going to a militant church service, aPLIED convention and even a pro Trump capitol rally. But NOTHING could have prepared me for this. I am a 29 year old female and my grandpa who Ive never met before recently cut contact with everyone and moved to Arizona. When he did that he dropped a bomb shell on our family that hes been into QAnon for a couple of years now. None of us were aware of this. I messaged him out of blue and he invited me over for a "conference". He paid for my trip out of his own pocket and didnt tell me much about it besides it was an in person QAnon gathering in Phoenix. It was time to do my favorite thing, field research. It costed around 300 dollars to get in. I was met with a huge line of people waiting to get in. I saw absolutely zero masks. I asked one guy about it, he said "Do you believe in Satan?" I said yes, he said "then you know that Covid is his way of making us miserable". Okay. When I finally got in, I was greeted by two huge doors, and two huge cutouts of Trump. Now obviously you can tell that I was the odd one out because I had cleanly cut short hair, no leather jacket, and was definitely the only person under 40. I saw a couple of speakers set up and a table with a bunch of weird stuff like spiritual smelling salts, cut pieces of hemp, freaky dolls, QAnon books, stuff like that. I walked over to the main speaker and there was an older man who was holding some kind of weird crystal rock thing. He talked about Trump, how he isn't a human, but actually an archangel in disguise. Yeah. Then he said if you paid 50 dollars you could come on stage and hold the crystal and be protected from demons for life. It sounded like absolute bullshit to me, but then again, I wasn't here to judge. I paid close attention, there was one speaker in particular who REALLY caught my attention. It was a woman who claimed she knew Trump personally, and that she was here to talk about the "real meaning of the Bible". I figured Id go through the motions and watch. She talked about science and technology. She said how Adam and Eve weren't the first humans on earth, but were a subset of humans created by scientists. She kept talking about science, but then out of no where said "a lot of people don't understand that the devil controls the sciences". She then pulled out a book and said "now I know what you people are thinking, Ive read the Bible cover to cover, why is she saying such things? But what you don't know, is that this isn't the Bible". It was like that moment in The Exorcist where the little girl is possessed by a demon and she does that weird neck thing. I was like "what...?" She said she spent her own money and her own time to create this compilation of cuttings from the "real" Bible that wasn't allowed to be sold in bookstores because they go against the "deep states" agenda. She said it was the real truth that was suppressed from us. She kept talking in circles. She said Adam and Eve were created by scientists. She showed pictures. She said a lot of freaky stuff and showed a lot of freaky pictures. I don't even remember, it was like listening to a crazy person ramble. She talked about Trump, she said how he was the only person who was there to help us. I really don't remember, I just thought she was off her meds or something. She then passed out her books to everyone and said it would protect us against demons. She said we should read it everyday. I read it when I got in my car. I was so intoxicated from the experience that I didn't know if I was awake or dreaming. I read the book. It was the weirdest thing I had ever heard. When I got home I looked up the woman who did the speaking. I could not find a single video of her on the internet. I looked up her name, the name of the conference, the names of the books, there was NOTHING. I thought maybe I dreamt it. But I was so shocked by it that I had to tell people about it. It was so bizarre. I felt like I was in some kind of cult. I saw so many posts of people talking about QAnon, but it felt like they were talking about something completely different. QAnon to me has always been the "pedos under the pizza shop thing" Ive read a lot of articles about it. But what I saw wasn't that. I have since messaged my grandpa about it. He told me what I experienced was amazing, that I needed to come back, that it was the absolute truth. He freaked me out so bad that I considered getting police involved. I just don't know what's going on. I am so confused.<br><br>Edit: wow, thanks for all the comments so far you guys. I am absolutely shell shocked. I am going to try to answer as many as I can. I am also going to try to get the book scanned ASAP. I really appreciate your help and support :)
