Hey Chambers, I study Spanish in university but I want to study Portugese. Is that ok?

I study Spanish because I wanted to be able to communicate with my Brazilian girlfriend’s Puerto Rican step-grandmother and vice versa. It’s been really rewarding and I’m getting by at this point, especially considering I started from scratch.<br><br>I’m turning 30 and I think the next step for me is to speak Portugese. Should I pursue this? Portuguese is beautiful, and I wish I could speak it. I’ve been trying to learn it alongside Spanish, but I don’t want to get “confused” or overwhelmed.<br><br>Am I being a dork or is this something I can do? She’s on board, but I have some progress to make still.
