Straight tapers are killing the market.

The influx of tapers into the market is killing the value and availability of barrels, making what would be a somewhat affordable plunge into the world of barrels very expensive. These tapers are still buying them up and driving the costs up to where it's almost pointless to bother with a 'budget' barrel anymore. The demand is still there but suppliers are failing to meet it. Just made me angry, I wanted a barrel that was over 16" and I just couldn't without committing to a full on custom barrel blank.
