Using Google Maps or equal, what is your best tip for finding restaurants and great food?

Long time lurker, first time poster. I think the community would be best served by having a single thread with great tips for finding food equal to or better than a travel guide. With so many countries and cities represented here, I'm sure this thread will be the definitive guide for finding great food in any city.
