I know many of you are serious about hexing, but I promise you that what you are doing is NOT effective.

I am an experienced witch/occultist of 7 years and these things you are doing are not going to keep up. I know many of you are serious about hexing because many of you are pouring all of your energy into this. I know many of you are serious because you are trying to connect with a community. I know many of you are serious because witches are a band of misfits who have been tossed aside by society and we empathize with you.<br><br>But your hexes are not working.<br><br>I see many of you asking for things like where to get sage, or how to charge a candle, or what’s the difference between a hex and a curse, or what moon phase do I do this in, etc. And you know what? I’d love to tell you, I’d love to help you. But I can tell that the majority of you here are purely emotional. You are so angry, and rightfully so, but you are also misdirecting your anger. You are pouring all of this energy into hexing people you don’t even know. You are angry because of the outcomes of the election.<br><br>But why are you angry? What is the root of your anger? <br><br>If you were to reflect on your own experiences and ask yourself why you are angry, I think you would find that it is because you are not in control of your own life. And I think that this is because you believe that your life is in the hands of other people. You believe that your outcomes are because of the actions of others.<br><br>But do you know what? The outcomes of your life are in YOUR hands. You are to blame for YOUR life. <br><br>And no, I’m not saying that you are entirely to blame. There are systems in place that keep people, including you, from achieving their goals. But I can tell that the majority of you here believe that the outcomes of your life are because of the actions of the people in power. You believe that you are a victim, and that is why you are angry. You feel powerless because you believe that you are powerless. <br><br>And that is a good thing. Recognizing your own powerlessness is the first step. Not being in control of your own life is the first step to gaining control of your life. Recognizing that the outcomes of your life are because of yourself is the first step to gaining control over your life.<br><br>So here’s what I want you to do. Instead of hexing people you’ve never met, instead of hexing people who you don’t even know are guilty, why don’t you do something that will actually better your life? Why don’t you put all of this energy that you’re using to try to harm others into yourself? Why don’t you put all of this energy into gaining control of your life? Why don’t you put all of this energy into improving the world around you? <br><br>I promise you that focusing on yourself and focusing on the world around you will bring you much greater satisfaction than hexing. It may take longer, it may take more effort, but it will bring you much greater satisfaction to improve yourself and your community than to try to harm people you don’t even know. <br><br>And to those of you who claim to be experienced witches/occultists, you should know better to be encouraging people to try these things. You should know better than to encourage people to try to harm others when they don’t even know the basics of witchcraft/occultism. I know you want to fit in, I know you want to feel like you’re a part of something, but you should know better than to mislead others.
