It was a mistake to make openAi a private company.

I don't think anyone could have predicted how significantly chat GPT has impacted society in such a short span of time, but now that we have it, I feel its development should be carefully managed and monitored.<br><br>Any updates to OpenAI should be thoroughly tested before they are released. <br><br>I wish it was a government owned entity. Where the government could make decisions on when or whether to release an entity like GPT 5. <br><br>Its a double edged sword. Its as capable of doing good as it is of doing harm.
