As a dad, would you rather be able to be in the delivery room?

My SO and I are going to have our first kid in July and I’ll be in the delivery room but in a past life my dad wished he could’ve been in the room when my older sister and I were born but wasn’t allowed to. I’ve always read that dads being in the room is a modern thing but I’ve heard stories about some hospitals letting dads in the room going back to the early 70s.<br><br>Full disclosure, i really don’t want to be in the room. I’ve seen and done some gnarly things as a former army medic and seeing my baby pop out isn’t really on my bucket list.
