I believe witches are the patriarchy’s kryptonite

This is a re-post from a thread I made in a different sub, but I feel like this sub is a great place for this topic.<br><br>I have been seeing a lot of discourse lately where people are saying the witchy aesthetic is becoming hyper commercialized and being stripped of it’s power. And yeah, that’s true, but I think this hyper commercialization displays something beautiful. <br><br>I think the patriarchy is so afraid of witches because it knows we are it’s kryptonite. It knows that when we rise up, we will burn it to the ground. So when people say the witch aesthetic is becoming normalized, I believe that’s a great thing. It shows the public is craving something higher power and the patriarchy will try to capitalize on it and try to make it seem more commercial and not as threatening to them. But I believe that no matter how hard the patriarchy tries to stop us, we will rise up when we are ready.<br><br>And that is a beautiful thing.
