In 1791, the US passed a legislation which granted American citizens the Right to Bear Arms. However, the Right to Bear Arms was made in an era where the weapon of choice is muskets, not assault rifles. Furthermore, the Right to Bear Arms was made to allow Americans to defend themselves from intruders, but not to commit mass genocide on its citizens. With the increasing amount of gun violence in the US, the Right to Bear Arms should be reviewed again, and the right to own assault rifles should be banned.

Update: Okay, so most people are saying that they want assault rifles for protection. However, isn't it better that you don't own assault rifles, and thus reduce the chance of people buying assault rifles to commit mass shootings in the first place?
