My therapist made a very risky comment yesterday, to which I've never encountered

My (female) therapist asked me if I ever wished I was attracted to someone else outside of my mom? I was like "yeah", and she was like "well it doesn't really matter if you got what you need in your life...even if that something is a very risky and toxic thing, it's normal to want to find comfort in someone." She was like "I'm sure you know how to find happiness on your own terms." And I was like "yeah! I think I do." <br><br>I don't know if she has been hinting that she knew what I was doing but the fact she told me it doesn't really matter if the relationship is outside of societal norms if it's what I need to find happiness. I think she might know what's going on inside of my house, and she's trying to show a different side of her, to show she does truly care about the people she works with and will continue to be the one I go to talk about my issues with.
