What works better for the economy: Universal Basic Income or a guaranteed job for all citizens?

Theuben of Georgia (a state in the US, not the country) has recently proposed a UBI. And I got thinking, if the goal of UBI is to ensure that every person's basic needs are met, regardless of whether they are working or not, what if instead we ensure that everyone who wants to work can have a job? How would that play out?

What are the pros and cons of each? Is a UBI better? Or a guaranteed job? Why? Why not?
