Very confused about the different types of front end development

I'm new to front-end development and I'm very confused about how many frameworks out there with more and more popping up every day. I'm having trouble deciding which one to learn, or at least, which one to start with. I'm planning on working on a windows machine with a windows operating system. I'm planning on eventually getting into back-end development so that I can develop full-stack applications. Backend wise, I'm planning on studying C# and asp.net with ADO.NET, and with front-end, Html, CSS, and JavaScript. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
