How commonly do you get escorted to your car by a male when leaving the store at night?

In the last month, I’ve been escorted to my car by a male worker at least twice. Once was at Walmart, and he was a stocker in his late 20’s, and the other was at a Trader Joe’s and he was a younger kid, probably high school age. Both were unwarranted, as it wasn’t particularly late and there weren’t any suspicious people in the parking lot (or at least I didn’t notice any). I feel it may be because I’m petite and young looking (early 20’s). It just makes me wonder how often this happens, and if it’s just me because of my stature and age.<br><br>Something to note, I did not ask them to escort me, they just approached me when I was leaving the store and said they’d walk me to my car.
