Are anime fans getting too entitled?

For context, i've been in the anime community for 9 years. It's just that, recently it feels like popular opinion is taking over and people just start to hate on something without putting much thought into it. I see a lot of people just blindly follow the trend, whether it's popular or not. I feel like this is a problem in other fandoms too, but i just feel like it gets really loud and annoying in the anime community. People are just more startup to voice their opinion about anime.

I see tons of people bashing popular anime just because they aren't perfect, i see tons of people blindly following the popular opinion. As an example, people just blindly hate on one piece now because of the content quality not being as good as the previous years. I see tons of people shitting on attack on titan because of season 4, and tons of people saying the story is trash after reading a wiki synopsis. I also see tons of people blindly follow the popular opinion just to fit in. I don't really see this anywhere else except for maybe marvel and DC. I think the problem of an anime fan getting too entitled is getting worse and it's really annoying.

Does anyone else notice this? Or am i just in a bad space and need to take a break from anime?
