What is the difference between being Alpha and being Invulnerable?

This is a question I have never really found a good answer to.

To be an Alpha, or the most superior dominant, can be thought of with historical example as to how an Alpha Lion will protect the pride and be the most powerful in the pride. However, an invulnerable person is someone who is not dependent on social status, external validation, or material possessions. It would seem that both types of people are not easily affected by external criticism, rejection, or disappointment, but the Alpha will attack what threatens them, while an Invulnerable person will be more indifferent to threats and criticism and have a sense of freedom.
