Question for right wingers; how does one protect their right to bear arms, if they are constantly giving the government more power to spy on us?

I don't understand how so many right wingers can be so pro gun, yet also so pro NSA and anti 4th amendment, pro patriot act, ect. If the government has the power to spy on us, they can more easily identify "radicals" who own guns. From there, it is very easy to connect the dots of a nationalized gun registry, and on and on until these people are disarmed.
