What stopped the minimalist movement?

Back around 2014 I first learned about minimalism and then the subject seemed to pop up on my radar repeatedly in the years following. I recall the topic getting discussed on various chambers both popular and niche, I remember seeing videos and documentaries covering the subject, and I even remember hearing it covered on a podcast that had nothing directly to do with minimalism but stopped the subject because it was so popular at the time. <br><br>That's a large part of why I'm so confused that I haven't heard anything about the subject in over a year. There really doesn't seem to be any momentum behind the minimalist movement anymore.
