My dad says that cooking is something you want to do, not something you want to learn because that's for school. He says he'll teach me because he doesn't want to cook for me when he's old, but honestly he doesn't let me help. He doesn't let me fry noodles or want to teach me how to stir the pan. He doesn't let me do anything. Whenever I say, "Teach me," he says, "I'll teach you when you stop going to school." He doesn't let me do anything in the kitchen. This is driving me insane. Now I'm 17 years old and I still don't know how to do anything in the kitchen. All I know is how to fry tofu and noodles, but that's it. I don't know how to put the seasoning, and I'm nervous because my dad doesn't let me do anything. I'm 17 and I can't cook for myself. What should I do? I'm getting pissed. I don't want to learn how to cook by myself because I don't know what to do. I'm 17 years old and I don't know how to cook.

Edit: I'm 19 years old now. I moved out and learned everything on my own. I didn't go to college and I graduated from high school. All the suggestions are super helpful. I was very spoilt so I didn't really get to do much in the kitchen. Yeah I had to learn how to do everything on my own and I'm excited to cook for my parents one day. Thank you so much for helping me.
