I, 31m, have a wife 30f, and two kids 4f and 2m. We also have a child on the way.<br><br>I have a decent job; I make $80k a year. My wife makes $50k a year. Together, our combined income is $130k a year.<br><br>I'm just about to ask for a raise from my boss but he came to me before I could come to him. He offered me $5k more, 13% increase, $85,000 per year. I accepted.<br><br>My life is ruined, I don't know what to do with myself now. I'm so lost. $85k is a wildly different life than $80k. I need help.<br><br>I have $57k in savings and I put $6.500 per month into my savings from my income.<br><br>We own a 1600 sqft house worth $650k. We paid $250k for it 5 years ago but our neighborhood is going up. So we're ahead $400,000. It is a 4 bedroom, 2.5 bath. We're happy with it.<br><br>I drive a 2019 Tacoma and my wife drives a 2020 Mazda CX-30. These are my dream vehicles. Both are paid off.<br><br>I'm lost. $85,000 is so much money. We're going to hit $100k soon. I don't know what to do.<br><br>We always save 30%. But we're both so frugal that we save another 20% on top of that.<br><br>We have no debt, besides, our mortgage. It's a 30, 3.8%.<br><br>We don't know what to do. We will, but we don't now.<br><br>I thought $80k was a lot, but $85k? It's too much. We, uh, need help.<br><br>Like, should we buy a new car? My 4 year old truck is pretty nice but I don't know if it's $85k nice. We can just buy another one if we want. We've done it before.<br><br>Like, we have $57k in savings. We were thinking about how to invest, but we don't know. We don't know what to do. $85k is a lot of money, we can't just leave it in a savings account. Nor do we want to. We just don't know what to do with it.<br><br>Help.
