New student teacher (middle school) and I'm shocked at how poorly some parents communicate with teachers

I'm a preservice teacher in a middle school (grade 7) in a relatively well-off part of the US (midwest). My teacher is fantastic. I've never seen her upset but she did share with me some emails from parents that were unkind, demanding, and borderline threatening. This is a summary (not exact wording) of three emails.

1. Parent takes issue with something my teacher said during a lesson (paraphrased below)

Teacher: "I understand that [new student's name] is having trouble adjusting to being in the US. But you must translate [assignment] into English. I cannot grade it otherwise."

Student: "My mom said she'll translate it for me."

Teacher: "Please tell your mom 'thank you' for offering, but I need you to translate it."

Parent's email: "My son told me that you said I don't speak English. I speak English. I will come speak with you later today."

In reality the teacher was just trying to teach the student to be more independent, since he's new to the US and still getting used to the English language. She was not implying that his mom doesn't speak English. The mom did come talk with the teacher, who was clearly terrified of her. The mom had no questions for the teacher or concerns about her son's well-being; she just wanted to make it clear that she speaks English.

2. A mom sent a short and sweet email asking my teacher to speak more slowly so that her (ESL) son could understand. That's totally fine. However, she also CC'd the vice principal on that email and BCC'd God knows who else.

3. A father emailed to ask if the homework could be easier for his daughter, who has been having difficulty completing it. When my teacher wrote back to him explaining that she sets the homework and doesn't think it's unreasonable, he got upset and told her that she's a public servant and therefore has to do what he says. I'm not even kidding. He told her that the government pays her salary and she has to do what he says. He threatened to report her to the school board and claimed he was going to get her fired.

I've never had an issue with a teacher (and I'm an awkward introvert who hates confrontation), and I can't imagine speaking to someone like that. Isn't that just human decency?
