Budgeting advice for single people

I just want to know some budgeting tips. It seems like every person I meet has more than one person to feed and with a family of 1 it’s hard to get a good meal for cheap and even for a single person the 3 cheap meals a week recipes are a lot of food to finish before it goes bad. I’m pretty good on a budget but I want to know if there’s a secret out there. Please share you budgeting tips without saying “make some rice” or “buy a crock pot”.
