TLDR: Grocery budget is about to increase. Meal prep should be about to go up in quality if you all are willing to share some ideas.

I (27M) work full time from home as a software tester, and my wonderful wife (27F) just finished her very last full day at work yesterday! She works in the medical field and has been on call 24 hours a day for about 10 years now. We're both extremely happy now that it's over.

She'll still have to work part-time from home on some weekends to earn the extra money we need to transition into her dream career, but we're expecting a much more predictable schedule and much more free time. We're planning on getting a deep fryer, air fryer, and stand mixer. We're both excited to have her home and to have a much more predictable schedule, and I'm all about taking advantage of her newfound free time by having her do more of the cooking. She's where we keep the culinary skills, and I'm much more of a "set it and forget it" guy.

Food is our biggest expense, and I'm planning on loosening the purse strings a bit to really let her go wild. We're both big fans of buying local meat, and the prices really reflect that. Our grocer has recently quit selling meat from local farms, so we just got ourselves a quarter of beef from a friends farm.

Ok now that the back story is out of the way... What are some of your favorite recipes? How do you season things? What are some tips on preparing great meat? What are you favorite sides? We often struggle to find a side that really goes well with what we're making. What are some of your favorite combos? We're not big on sweets, but if you feel like sharing a killer cheesecake recipe, I won't turn my nose up at it. We're both big on flavor and we're not big on salt.

Thanks all! I'm pretty excited to see what she whips up. I'm a bit worried that it's going to be a bit of a learning curve transitioning from prepping a week of meals all at once in 3 hours to making a single meal each evening in 30 minutes.
