I don't understand why "based anime" are popular

A while ago, I made this post in r/anime_titties, a community created after multiple mods and the owner of r/anime were fired for "not being popular". This post got over 500 upvotes, so I'm going to share it here too:<br><br>Look, I understand that the firing of mods by snowboard was unjust and should not be allowed, but you're going after the wrong, place. A terorrizing a community that did nothing is not the right answer, and it just makes you people look like babies.<br><br>It's not the fault of r/anime, or any other community, if you want to create a new community go ahead, but attacking a community that has done nothing is just immature.
