When I’m older I want to be a teacher…

I work in a really tough school and I’m only a TA. I’m interested in training as a teacher in the future but I’ve been having doubts about it because of the behaviour in the school. Today I had a conversation with a difficult student and he said ‘One day I want to be a teacher… because I know how it feels to be treated like shit’. I thought at first ‘wow it’s all about power’ but after our conversation I thought it was really a sweet sentiment and now I would really love to be a teacher. Has anyone else had a moment like this?
