If you have to choose between following a Haredi and a Conservative, follow the Haredi

Let me explain myself first. I'm not a haredi jew nor am I religious but I'm a jew and I love my country. I do not have anything against conservative jews. I have a lot of respect for conservative jews. <br><br>Now, here is why: **Haredim are a permanent majority in Israel**. Without the Haredis, the Hilonis would barely be a permanent majority in Israel. The state of Israel would be a lot different if the majority was Hiloni and if the religious permanent minority in Israel. I am not saying Hilonis are bad in any way. I am not saying Haredis are good and Conservative jews are bad. But I am saying we cannot rely on Conservative jews. They barely exist in Israel. A lot of them are either leaving Israel or becoming Hiloni secular jews living in Tel Aviv. If you want to improve the state of Israel, then you need to improve the Haredi movement.<br><br>Haredim are a majority in Israel and are here to stay. And if you want to make them more secular and have them be more active in Israeli society, you need to influence them and change them. If you want Israel to be secular, Haredim are your best chance at making it a secular state. Hilonis are great but they are constantly being outnumbered by Haredis. If you want to make Israel a more secular country, you need to rely on the Haredim.
