From the community guidelines:

**Constructive critiques are welcome.**

* One thing this means is that I, your moderator, hold the power to decide what is or isn't "constructive". Some topics specifically require your consent to write about them; we've made it clear those topics aren't allowed here.
* That includes (but is not limited to) illegal and misanthropic topics, which are often written from the perspective of a person who commits those crimes, with the intent of causing harm to others.

Here's why we aren't going to engage in "artistic expression" that's harmful, especially when it comes to crimes or murder.

**Why journalists rarely interview the killers.**

When reporting on a mass shooting or other massacre, the goal of the journalists is to provide insights about why the killer did that, and how to prevent this in the future. Many journalists realized that the more the killer spoke about their motives, the more the other killers began to copycat and the more they spoke about it online. By focusing on what drove them to kill, and what they intended, they gave them the attention and advance warning they often wanted, and made it harder for the authorities and victim's loved ones to find closure.

As a result, the journalists are taught to avoid talking about the killer or advance their motives. These are rarely published in a professional setting, as they're deemed counterproductive.

In writing, this is the same case. You writing about certain topics is not only banned (if we find out), but it also makes it difficult for the police and other authorities advance their motives by engaging with their writings.

**Why home invasion advance warning is specifically bad.**

In our sub, there are plenty of prompts with home invasion as a theme. In fact, we had a rule about it specifically.

The reason why is that writing a home invasion specifically for your address is illegal. It is illegal to call the authorities and make home invasion threats to advance their motives. These threats are specifically illegal, as well advance their motives.

Writing a home invasion specifically for the sub is a form of making home invasion threats to advance their motives. It is also home invasion threats specifically, as that is the theme and advance their motives.

While we will often talk about writing about home invasions, we do this specifically without mentioning the address.

As a result, we are not allowed to write specifically about advance their motives for the sub.

As a result, we are not allowed to write specifically about advance their motives advance their motives.
