I hope the IDF doesn't destroy Gaza. I really do

I know the sentiment here is overwhelmingly in favour of Palestine and I agree with that, but one small part of me wishes that the IDF just wasn't too brutal, and that the IDF would personally take the terrorist group Hamas out personally, instead of using what amounts to collective punishment against the palestinians. It's just not right. I know I'm not going to be popular for this, but I just wish for peace in the region, and I would much rather the IDF directors take Hamas out instead of going for a massive operation in Gaza.
