I just don't understand how anyone can believe it's ok to kill a child

Or believe God wants it. We do it all the time, our government, our doctors, our own moms and wives, and now it seems like people especially women don't just condone it they celebrate it. It matters not if the baby is in the mothers body, it's alive and it's ok to kill it for any reason? What am I missing here?
