The best way to learn Thai (or any other SEAsian language) is to talk to a girl

Just a quick tip for everyone interested in learning a SE Asian language from scratch. <br><br>So I'm from Germany, and decided to learn Thai from scratch. I had zero knowledge of the language, writing system, grammar etc. two months ago. Today, I can basically communicate in Thai, read Thai and write Thai. <br><br>The journey was very easy. <br><br>I installed Tinder and started swiping. I swiped right on every Thai, Cambodian and Phillipino girl. I even swiped right on a few Vietnamese, Malaysian and Singaporean girls. <br><br>After a few days, I suddenly felt a strong urge to start learning Thai, so I did. I googled the Thai alphabet. After an hour of focusing, I could read Thai. Writing Thai, however, was a different issue. <br><br>So I texted my Tinder matches and started practicing. <br><br>They wrote in Thai. I replied in Thai. <br><br>* Girls, Thai people included, love helping you! So they constantly correct you and give you words and expressions of everyday conversations. <br><br>* Girls who can't speak English are a lot more motivated to talk to you. So I suddenly felt a surge in matches from girls who otherwise wouldn't even give me a chance. <br><br>* I basically learned not only the Thai Language, but also about the Thai culture, traditions, daily life etc. <br><br>* I now know what phrases to say to fill the silence in the car. <br><br>* I know what to say when talking to a shop vendor, a street food vendor, the fruit vendor etc. <br><br>* I know what to say to my mechanic, my barber, etc. <br><br>* I know what to say to my future Thai wife when we go to sleep at night. <br><br>I think this is the best way to learn any language, but I'm sure it's more effective for SE Asian languages since the girls are just so much more oriented towards building a relationship. <br><br>* It's a pity that Tinder isn't more oriented towards building long, healthy relationships, rather than hookups.
