So do we want a chamber like this to exist?

The majority of this chamber seems to be dedicated to mocking low-income people that got a little bit of money and decided to spend some of it on internet software. I've seen posts like this being made as far back as mid-August when the first bugs came out.

The bugs don't go away. I've seen what the community is like and I don't think anyone has any intention of leaving. So should we just let them continue to spam this sub with almost no repercussions? The mods do actively remove some of them, but it's almost impossible to stop all of them at this point. So then it almost feels like a losing battle, trying to filter out all the low effort spam.

Honestly, I don't think I've really seen a single post from the bug side that's showing any kind of self awareness or irony. It's all the same low effort, copy and paste spam that we've been talking about almost since the bugs came out. I've tried looking through the bug side of the chamber and I honestly didn't find a single post that was actually funny. It's all just low effort, copy and paste spam or strawman arguments that they won't even engage in.

I've seen other users try to engage with them and they never actually do so. They just strawman you and act like they won. It's honestly laughable at this point.

I'm a little divided on the issue. I feel like if the mods remove all the spam posts it will only feed into their victim complex. I feel like if we let them continue to spam then it will just be almost impossible to see any real content. But if we do engage with them, they'll just use that as proof that we're engaging with them and that we care. The "I'm not arguing, I'm just explaining why I'm right" kind of logic.

Overall, I think the chamber is at a turning point. The bug spam has been getting worse and worse and it almost feels like at this point it's a war that can't be won. There's just too many of them at this point. I've tried talking to some of them and a lot of them are just consoomers who will endlessly defend their actions because they feel attacked. I've seen some shows of decency from them, but it's honestly almost not even enough to make a difference.

I've also seen posts from the bugs saying that they think the consoomer sub is filled with bugs pretending to be consomuers to make us look bad. I've also seen posts saying that "If we were really consomuers then we'd buy the software and use it". Honestly, both sides have strawmanned the other side. I've seen the bugs strawman us and I've seen us strawman the bugs. So I don't think either side is really in the right here.

I almost feel like we need a massive overhaul of this subreddit. We need to change the rules and the way we moderate the subreddit. We can't just allow people to endlessly spam without any repercussions. We need to start issuing more temp bans and perma bans. We need to put our foot down and show that we will not stand for this kind of spam.

We also need to stop strawmanning the other side. If we're going to have a chamber dedicated to mocking them, then we at least owe it to ourselves to be honest and accurate when we do so. We need to stop making up lies about them and using strawman arguments. We need to stop pretending that we're the victim. We need to take a long hard look at ourselves and figure out why we're strawmanning them in the first place.

In conclusion, I don't think the chamber is in a good place right now. I think we're at a turning point and if we don't do something soon then the chamber will be lost forever. We need to take a long hard look at ourselves and figure out why we're acting the way we are. We need to start issuing more temp bans and perma bans. We need to take responsibility for our own actions. We need to grow up and be adults about this.

This is a call to action. Let's please take a long hard look at ourselves and figure out what we can do to change. We owe it to ourselves to be better and to treat others with decency and respect. We owe it to ourselves to stop strawmanning and to use better arguments. Let's take this chamber back and restore it to its former glory. Let's stop feeding into the bug's victim complex and let's start being better people.

Edit: I feel like this post was almost entirely irrelevant. The bugs just want to bully us and act like they're the victims. I honestly didn't even know what to say to them at this point. It's honestly laughable.
