American tax dollars are used to develop dangerous AI

Humans are lazy and AI makes the job easier. So it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out why the government is using expensive tax payer money to throw billions of dollars at creating the next big AI model after OpenAI. At the very least the government is failing to tax these AI companies to death like they should. They're also failing to do anything about the privacy of our data which is used to train AI models. ps: I tried searching for AI thread I made so I could delete the mods but it's gone. <br><br>Can't you see that Big Tech is funding our "free" government to play the AI arms race? It's like "American AI" is the new god, where they praise it as a "national treasure". The government gives billions to the top tech companies to develop AI with our tax money. And what did you get out of it? *one job lost*. What did the government get out of it? *more surveillance*. <br><br>Wake up, because it's been a while since you got wet with the ChatGPT. Your child's future is on the line. There's no going back from this. We should have a better policy to control the AI development.
