What is the thing that you would like to see worldbuilders stop doing or do less often?

The title speaks for itself. I would like to provide a few examples to get the conversation started.

- There is this trend on the internet to create in-universe posters for fictional countries. It is not inherently a bad thing but this kind of content is spammed by a bunch of low effort content creators. If it makes sense for your project to create in-universe propaganda posters then it is fine but it is one of the most spammed low-effort content types.

- Overly serious worldbuilding projects with no end goal. There is nothing wrong with creating a serious worldbuilding project that you can use for an rpg, a videogame, a movie, a book, etc. But there is no point in creating a worldbuilding project if you are creating an rpg and you don't know how to create an rpg. You see this a lot on this sub and on worldbuilding subs in other languages as well. Some worldbuilding projects are perpetually stuck in the worldbuilding phase and they never move past that phase.

- Creating a map (usually of a continent) just to fill every single inch of it. This usually creates a discrepancy between the quality of different areas on the map. Your home or the part of the map you are most familiar with is going to be filled to the brim with details while other areas of the map are going to be more vague or less detailed. And if you are going to create an rpg or a video game based on your world then you need to flesh out the entire map or the entire continent. And usually, worldbuilders don't have the time or motivation to create an entire continent so they end up rushing some areas of the map to get it done before they can start creating the actual game or book or whatever. A better approach is to start small and progressively expand your map as needed and as you grow as a worldbuilder.

Please let me know in the comments what are things you would like to see less often in the worldbuilding community.

Edit: If you want to reply to this in an indirect manner, please do it under a different username as it helps a lot to keep the discussion organized and it makes it easier for people to engage with your comment without breaking the "no indirect replies" rule.
