Why do I hear a lot more voiceovers in ads saying “hate your period? Consider a hysterectomy.”

I’ve heard this on Tiktok, Instagram, Spotify, Hulu, all the time since having kids. Is this a relatively new option my doctor isn’t mentioning? I can’t help but feel like my doctor is acting like a hysterectomy is only for absolute medical issues but hearing all these adds, I’m wondering if it’s not really a big deal.
