Which way?

edit - this is a career question for my husband.<br><br>He has an interview tomorrow with a really great company. He needs to choose which of two roles to go for. <br><br>The first role is higher level than the second role, so higher pay, but less authority. It’s in a different team which has been recently reorganised and has a lot of leadership turnover. The manager is a contract position and leaves in 2 months. The company is really pushing for this role. <br><br>The other role is lower pay, but more authority in his daily tasks. It’s in a different team. The manager is permanent and there’s been really low employee turnover. <br><br>Which one should he apply for?
