Can you work in the tech industry if you are over 30?

Hi all. I am 34 years old and I have been trying to get into the tech industry as a junior software engineer. I have tried for the last 2 years to break in and have not yet landed a job. I have a lot of programming knowledge and have developed and maintained multiple projects. I have also developed a good amount of soft skills and have learned a lot of new skills to get into the tech industry.<br><br>I have applied for a lot of jobs and have not had any luck. I have developed and maintained personal projects and have a good amount of skills. I am starting to believe that no matter how hard I try I am too old to break into the tech industry. I have heard that it is very ageist.<br><br>Is there a way to break into the tech industry if you are over 30? I am at a loss because I am starting to believe that I am too old to break into the tech industry and need to look for other career opportunities. I know there is no age limit to get into the tech industry but I do not know how to get around the ageism that I have experienced.
