My derelict ship found a planet, and the planet found a pilot.

You're a war hero, dead in the water in the next galaxy over. Your pilot is dead in his chair, the navigation is off-line, and you're drifting through hyperspace at the speed of light. Your _insignificant_ mass is enough to cause a small perturbation in the hyperspace envelope.<br><br>An uncharted planet is nearby, and warps space in a way that's _insignificantly_ different from empty space. The difference is enough to drop you in orbit.<br><br>The planet may have been discovered recently, or a long time ago - either way, the inhabitants of the planet have been waiting for you, _insignificant_ mass and all.<br><br>What do they want from you, and what do you have to give them?<br><br>[This idea may have been inspired by a short story, but I don't remember which one!]
