The removal of rights and the push for gender equality

I have been thinking about this topic for a while and I feel like I have some insights to share. I think the current push for equality is a mixed bag. In a lot of areas it is helping to increase the rights of women but in a lot it is removing those rights.

The one that is most commonly talked about is the draft. Women are currently pushing to have the same rights as men to be drafted. I don't really see this as a win for women. Being drafted is not a right to be proud of, it is removal of rights and the loss of a choice.

The other one I think of is the push for women to be allowed in combat. This is very much tied with the draft. Women are currently allowed to serve in the military and choose to be in combat. They are just not forced to be in combat.

I also think of the push for paternity tests to not be allowed. I feel like this is very anti-women. Not being able to know if a kid is yours or not is not a good thing. Even if the kid is not yours you are still financially responsible for it for 18 years.
