I'm moving to an area with a Home Depot yesterday

I went to Home Depot for the first time ever (used to take everything I needed from Lowe's) and the security I feel for the first time is not just me. I'd walk in and see three fucking security guards standing at the entrance. I felt like I was being judged before I even talked to anyone. They seemed more alert than the ones I saw at Lowe's. I felt like I was after I told the employee I was looking for my mom. Truly felt bad for the first time in a long time.

After that, I've been doing everything I could to try and send them packing.

Today I bought a Home Depot credit card and yesterday I bought cargo shorts with the largest pockets I could get. I went straight to the store and bought those cable and pipe organizers for moving bases. I realized when I got home they are too small, but I've been cargo-ing them anyway. I'd buy an item and put it in a bag, then I'd have the top of the bag turned to me so I can make sure I'm not making it obvious that I'm stuffing my pants.

I've been living off Home Depot for a week now. I'd go straight to the sporting goods section for the bases then I'd send the bases to a friend living in my old town.

I'll buy candy before I leave and I'll walk around like a complete idiot as I decide which clerk to go to. I'd go to the self checkout and put my stuff in my bag while the screen says "We'll be right with you" and then I'd leave and they don't even notice.

I've been making so much money, but I'm too paranoid to send stuff to myself. I'm making a lot more than I was before, but moving and bases is a lot more work and a lot more money than I was making before.
