I am a black woman and I am tired of being attacked.

So many people are saying “thank god you’re not black otherwise it would be worse” I’ve had people message me saying “hey less black lives matter because you’re black and strong and beautiful”. I am tired of being attacked and objectified because of the colour of my skin. I resent people who are using me to justify their ideology. I’m tired of the objectification of black women and the fetishization of black bodies. I’m tired of black women being thrown around as a justification for the objectification of black bodies. I’m TIRED! <br>Please be better and aware of the colourism black people face.<br>Please be better and aware of the sexualisation and objectification black people face. <br><br>I don’t want to be used as a justification to hate people anymore.<br>I just want to live in peace.<br><br>EDIT: I want to say I’m absolutely overwhelmed by all the support. I want people to remember that black people come in all shades. I’m tired of black people getting treated to different based on the shade of our skin and I want us to work on this together! <br><br>EDIT: I should never have said I was tired of black lives and I can see why that was triggering. I am tired of objectification and colourism, and frustrated that a portion of the black community has been dividing itself and other based on melanin. I want to help the black community run into better days and I can see that now I hurt a lot of people and I’m so sorry for that.
