The 5-star rating system used by streaming services like Netflix and YouTube is completely useless.

I could give a youtube video 5 stars and a netflick show 5 stars. But 1 of them is 5 stars because of one thing, and the netflix show is 5 stars for a completely different reason. It gives no context and doesn't tell you why that person gave that show a high rating. It doesn't give context. It can lead to shows having a higher rating than they deserve, but it can also lead to shows having a lower score than they deserve. This context is actually given by those "I watch this for _____" buttons that Netflix has.
