So, there is a great app called "TextMe" where you can get a real phone number and send and receive text messages. However, you can't send a text to a standard landline phone.

I think there would be a huge market for an app, that doesn't require you to give out any information for a private number for texting landlines. Especially in the medical field where text is communication is on the rise, a need for doctors and their staff to communicate with patients has been an issue. I've looked, and there are several platforms like this for healthcare professionals to use as an app to communicate with patients. But there is no app that is mainstream that can text landlines.

Edit: I'm not sure how a few people are thinking that my customer support request is nefarious. I've never made a request for customer support on this idea. I just said that a requirement of the app idea should not have any customer support, and should require no account information. I'm just trying to help a problem that needs a solution so that I don't have to tell a patient that I can't text them because they have a landline. I'm not sure what the conspiracy theories are, but I am a medical professional trying to find a solution to a problem I face on a daily basis.
