Just a grateful kid’s perspective

I’m 3 months shy of 18 and I’m grateful. I’m grateful for the fact that I have parents that love me, parents who raised me with the best education possible, parents who raised me well, but most importantly, I’m grateful that they didn’t abort me or give me up for adoption when my birthmom was too scared to tell my dad she was pregnant. I don’t know where I would be if I wasn’t where I am, and with the people I love and cherish. My friends complain about the smallest things, and I just sit and watch as they miss what actually matters. Family. Friends. Love. Happiness.
