Hey there. I saw this post directing me to post a story, so here is a short story I wrote this morning. There isn't really a theme, it's basically just a bunch of nonsense with decomposition. Please enjoy!

I felt my skin begin to crack. It was a slow, meticulous process that I couldn’t watch. It was not painful, but it was so foreign that it felt so. As I sat there, I felt my mind begin to separate from my body. It was like I was watching a body decompose from the inside. My brain decomposed first. It was soft and mushy. It felt like it was liquefying, bubbling up and around my eyes. Suddenly I felt myself lift out of my body. It was a horrifying thing. My brain slid down my face as if it were melting, and I saw it for a brief moment before it fell onto my lap. It was a disgusting circular blob of gray goo that smelled of death.

My face began to bubble up, and my lips were pulled back into a strange, unsettling grin. My eyes were next to go. I felt a strange pressure as they swelled up inside of my skull and then popped, leaving gaping empty spaces where my eyeballs had once been. I looked down at my face and saw that my eyes had popped open, and inside of their empty spaces were two black holes. They looked deep. My teeth were the next to fall out. They tumbled from my mouth and onto my lap with my liquid brain. It was strange because I could taste myself. It was a sickening, sweet taste that I couldn’t get out of my mind.

Next, my hair fell from my head. It fell in a soft cloud around my face and shoulders and then I felt a strange sensation. It was as if my face was being pulled back, stretched tight. My skin was so tight that it felt like it was going to split. It was soft and mushy, and it felt as though it would burst at the slightest touch.

My fingers and toes came next, peeling away from the rest of my body like they were socks. It was such a strange, awful feeling, because inside of all of my rotten flesh was a deep, gushing wound. It was so deep that it felt like it went all the way to the bone. My fingers and toes crunched on the floor. They broke away easily, and as they hit the ground they popped. They didn’t explode. It wasn’t as though they were filled with air. They simply popped.

I felt myself being pulled down. My body started to break away, and I felt myself being sucked into the ground. It was like I was a dirty liquid, and my body was washing away. I tried to grab onto something to stop it, but it was too late. As my upper half slid down the edge of the bed I was sitting on, I was sucked into the ground. It was like clay, and I molded into it as if I were a liquid. I felt myself being pulled away from my own consciousness, and as I was pulled down I felt my brain shut off. It was a strange, slow feeling. I could feel myself disappearing, and as I was sucked into the ground I didn’t exist anymore.

I was swept down into a current. I was no longer a solid, but rather a liquid. I could feel myself being pulled along, and I could feel that I was no longer a person. I was a corpse, and as I drifted along I could feel myself dissolving. It was as if I were being eaten by the ground. I could feel myself being consumed and destroyed, and as I dissolved I could feel myself disappearing. I was no longer a person. I was no longer a mass. I was a liquid. It was a strange feeling. I could feel myself being pulled away, and as I washed away I felt myself cease to exist. As I dissolved, I died. As I died, I felt myself being washed away.

I was nothing. No mass, no liquid. No existence. I was gone. It was a strange feeling. It was unpleasant and unsettling. As I felt myself washed away, I felt my consciousness disappear. It was as if I had vanished into nothingness. I was nothing. I was no longer. I did not exist. It was a strange, awful feeling.

I was pleased to see my own death. I was not afraid of it. I was worried of the end of my life. I saw it, and then I was gone. I did not exist. I did not know that I did not exist. I was gone. I was gone. I was gone. I was gone I was gone I was gone I was gone I was gone I was gone I was gone I was gone I was gone I was gone I was gone I was gone.

I was gone.
