I heard eating ‘frugal’ is just as healthy as eating expensive.

I just don’t understand how?

I’m a victim of food stamp abuse, my mom and other family members received them and would buy those boxes of noodles and maybe a bag of fruit and veggies and some frozen dinners and that’s it. The fridge would be empty. Unless you are very active with only one child, $800 a month is not enough to feed a family for 30 days. I get why most people sell them and buy alcohol and a little bit of food so they can get better quality food for less.

I’m also seeing this trend where people brag about buying a bunch of beans and rice and pasta and flour for under $10. I heard eating ‘frugal’ is good for you but I don’t understand how. It’s carbs and salt with some sugar as your main source of calories. You need a little bit of everything to keep you healthy and happy. There’s a reason so many people on food stamps are obese and a lot of people who don’t eat frugal are the happy healthy people.

What’s the trick? I don’t want to just eat a bunch of noodles and carbs and salt with some sugar. I want to be healthy and happy and feel good. All of my friends who don’t eat frugal are so much healthier and happier than me and a lot of people who have to eat on a budget.
