Mother of Pets

A mother will send her children to school, to camp, to their friends' houses and to grandparents’ homes. She will remind them to brush their teeth before bed, to do their homework after school, to not talk to strangers and to floss once a day. She will tell them those things, and she will also tell them that they are loved.<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>A mother of pets brings them to an untidy place with a bad odor. In this place she will yell at them, and they will cry, for they understand this as a punishment. She will force them into a tiny box, and she will carry them to a car. The mother of pets will drive them to a place where they will be cut and wounded. She will bring them home, and she will throw the wounded pet into a room. It won't come out until the wounds are healed, for the mother of pets has ordered it so. She will bring them to the forest, where they are allowed to roam. But the mother of pets will not be with them. She will leave them alone, and she will drive to a place where she works, where she makes money to feed and protect her pets. She will be at work for several hours. After work she will drive to a shop, where she will buy food for her pets. When she is done, she will drive to a shop where she buys things for herself. She will return home, and she will be tired, for she has spent several hours at work, and several hours more in the shops. She will give the pets something to eat. She will feed herself, and she will lie on a couch. In a while she will go out to the pets, who have been waiting in their room for several hours. She will play with them for a brief moment. She will caress them. She will be affectionate. Then she will bring them to the forest, where she will leave them alone once again. When they are done, she will bring them home. The mother of pets will lie on a couch. She will be tired, for she has spent her entire day at work and in shops. She will fall asleep, for she is exhausted. But in her sleep, she will caress the pets that sleep alongside her. She will talk to them. She will call them sweet. She will be gentle. She will never smash them, or hurt them. She will only give them love, and she will only give them care. She will protect them with her will to live, and she will feed them with her labor. She will be their mother. She will be their safe haven. She will be the only warmth they will ever know.
