The man who was going to rape me.

This happened years ago, when I started going to the gym, it was across the street from where I lived. So it was a normal day, it had rained a lot that week, I just wanna say that because it is important later on. I was walking home, it was dark already, and I noticed that a man was following me (or at least I thought he was). It is important to say that I used to live in a dangerous town, in a dangerous country. So I wasn't even surprised or scared, I just kept looking back, and there he was. When I got to the corner of the street before mine, he rushed at me, and threw me to the floor, he was on top of me choking me, I screamed, but no one came to help me, and he had his hand over my mouth, and he was saying "I'm gonna rape you, you dirty whore", he lifted my skirt and ripped my underwear, I knew I had to do something fast, so I gathered all my strength and pushed him away, and, it was raining remember? well long story short, he slipped on the water, and fell to his ass, I took advantage and ran as fast as I could, he came after me, but a neighbor and her husband saw him running and came after me too, they saw me running and they thought something was wrong, so they ran after this guy, they cornered him in an alley and beat him up so badly he ended up in the hospital, when the police came, they told them they had hit him for attacking another man and stealing his money. I didn't tell them, I was scared, and also I had already been a victim of sexual abuse, so I didn't wanna say anything because I knew my family would blame me. So this guy spent a month in the hospital and the guys who beat him up had to spent a week in jail, and this is something I will never forget, they got out and they threw a party, and invited all the neighbors, and me of course, they even bought me a cake and everything, and we even joked about what happened, it was a great party, they even said "you know how you ran towards your house? well this guy, he ran TOWARDS us", and we all had a great laugh, it was an excellent party.
