Your friendly neighbourhood WC Woes mod chiming in here

Some of you may know, I’m a volunteer Woes mod and a long time WC sufferer. Pretty excited to see our new sub.

A few things to mention:
- 1st off, I think it’s glaringly obvious that WC’s are a major nuisance, and it’s a little ridiculous that they haven’t had their own sub yet. Woes volunteers are incredible, and our new WC Woes mod volunteers are chiming in here as well. All info is going directly to them, to ensure our best understanding and coverage of them in the future.

- I think it’s also obvious that this sub won’t last long. Chambers absolutely does not tolerate subs dedicated to a single species. Most of which are thrown out as ‘niche subs’, because they lack a dedicated fanbase of ‘enthusiasts’. This sub may be up for a week or two, but it’s gonna get shut down unless we merge with the biggest WC enthusiast sub to make our new WC Woes mod volunteer a happy man: r/insect(api?)eculture.

- In all seriousness though, I think this is the perfect opportunity to push for a sub-wide policy change. We need to let Chambers know how important these types of subs can be. Woes has helped thousands of people, including the 200+ members of this sub already. By letting them know the importance of our sub and the info we’ve gathered, they may understand the big picture here and allow this sub to survive. So please, share this in every WC post you see, and let people know how important this could be for WC knowledge and culture.
