And stop complaining.

I’ve had the experience of almost everyone growing up that at one point or another you may run low on money and need to have something cheap. A $2 box of cereal.

Yes, in college I would buy Frosted Flakes, but only when on sale for $2. But I also mixed that with a full box of cornflakes because I was trying to stay on a small budget.

I have tried a few different off brand cereal, and none of them are the same. But they don’t taste bad. They taste like cereal. And for $2 a box it will most likely stay fresh for a month. Or longer if you don’t eat it often.

I know some brands may cost $4 for a box, but a box of cereal will last a long time. How many boxes do you eat in a month? Buy a few if it goes on sale cheap enough.

Store brand food is still safe. It is still good. It is cheaper and will help you budget in the long run. It won’t stop you from enjoying the food you love. Mix and match. Nutritional value is usually the same, but read a full nutritional label to be sure. It is getting pretty common for even name brand cornflakes to contain added sugar.

So, in conclusion, Cornflakes is a cheap and good cereal. Store brands are good and cheap. Stop bitching and try to live on a budget or move to a better city with your bank account.
