What are some good tips for hitting the books?

I just left my community college last spring, and I am about to attend my local University. I am hitting the books right now and I am really struggling with focusing. It’s not that I don’t want to, its just the motivation. I know it’s the whole procrastination thing. I really want to hit the books right and I am struggling with it. I feel right now that it would be better to hit the books before school starts. Any tips would be awesome.
